On February 21th, EOSC4Cancer held a hackathon on a biomarker-oriented clinical trial database schema. Organised by WP3 leads Macha Nikolski (CNRS) and Eivind Hovig (University of Oslo), the online event brought together 17 participants from the EOSC4Cancer consortium and representatives from UNCAN and CAN.HEAL.

David Tamborero (Karolinska Institutet) presented the ongoing work on defining the database schema by explaining the challenges of existing registries and describing the scope of the current efforts. Afterwards, participants brainstormed on content, formats, data sources, types of variants and ontologies for the database schema.

Outcomes will feed into Deliverable 3.1 – The Molecular Tumour Board Portal interoperability
