The European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) is a trusted digital platform for the scientific community, providing seamless access to data and interoperable services that address the whole research data cycle, from discovery and mining to storage, management, analysis and re-use across borders and scientific disciplines. EOSC is part of the European Cloud Initiative, launched in 2016 to provide European science, industry and public authorities with world-class data infrastructure to store and manage data, high-speed connectivity to transport data and powerful high performance computers to process data. More than 30 core EU-funded projects are implementing EOSC and more than 1.7 million researchers and 70 million professionals will benefit from EOSC.
EOSC4Cancer is part of this initiative and contributes by bringing diverse kind of cancer-related data onto a platform that is free and accessible for the purposes of research and innovation.
